Maria Banks

PT, DPT

Role:

Physical Therapist

Years at CPT:

Less than 1 year

Favorite thing about CPT:

I love that the therapists are passionate about working together and collaborating on the best quality of care for each patient.

Favorite intervention area:

I enjoy working on gross motor milestones! Helping children gain the independence to roll, crawl, run, and jump is so exciting. Seeing my kiddos work hard toward their goals means so much!

Why physical therapy?

I love the human body and what it is capable of. I truly believe physical therapy can change the game for recovery, gaining independence, and preventing injury!

Outside of CPT:

I am from Terre Haute, IN. My husband and I are both physical therapists and received our doctorates in physical therapy from the University of Evansville. We have an adorable sheltie puppy that has been the perfect addition to our lives! My favorite things to do are hiking, camping, and canoeing. If I’m inside you will probably find me with a good book or having a Star Wars movie marathon!

What I wish more people knew about physical therapy:

As physical therapists, we are a fundamental part of the healthcare system for each stage of life.
