Alisha Martin

MS, OTR/L

Role:

Occupational Therapist

Years at CPT:

1

Favorite thing about CPT:

The people, including the kids and staff!

Favorite intervention area:

I love oral motor/feeding and the progress that comes with watching kids meet goals that consist of trying new foods/adding new foods to their diet and demonstrating increased oral motor strength.

Why occupational therapy?

I chose this field after watching my grandpa go through rehab following a stroke. Once I completed my first clinical in pediatrics, I knew right away it was the setting I was meant to work in.

Outside of CPT:

I’ve been married to my husband, Trent, for almost 8 years and we have a 4-year-old daughter named Reagan and a 7 month old son named Jack. We also have a dog named Murphy. In my spare time I like to spend time with family and friends, go to concerts, and do anything outdoors.

What I wish more people knew about occupational therapy:

That we don’t find people jobs!
