Emma Salyer

PT, DPT, PCS

Role:

Physical Therapist

Year I joined CPT:

2015

Favorite thing about CPT:

I love the collaborative atmosphere at CPT. The therapists at CPT work together as a team to come up with the most effective treatment strategies in order to provide the best and most individualized plan of care.

Favorite intervention area:

I really enjoy learning more about and working with patients with neurological impairments including brain injuries, spina bifida, and genetic diagnoses. I also love teaching and being a clinical instructor!

Why physical therapy?

I chose physical therapy based on my background in athletics as a child. However, I fell in love with pediatrics through observation in college.

Outside of CPT:

I have a wonderful husband, David, and two beautiful children – Truett and Louella. We love to travel, camp, and just be outdoors. I love to teach, both in and out of the classroom, as an adjunct professor at the University of Evansville’s Doctorate of Physical Therapy Program and as a certified clinical instructor through the American Physical Therapy Association. I enjoy helping with Spirit Cheer, Spirit Dance, and AceBuddies.

What I wish more people knew about physical therapy:

I get to wake up every day and help the toughest, most hard-working kids reach their goals while having fun! I truly have the best job in the world!
