Ginger Whitler
OTR/L, CEO, Owner
Role:
Occupational Therapist, CEO, and Owner
Year I started CPT:
2005
Favorite thing about CPT:
I love the staff, children, and all the families we are blessed to treat. My days are filled with hugs from kids visiting my office which reminds me of the “Why” to CPT being developed.
Favorite intervention area:
I enjoy overseeing all the daily workings of the company because it gives me gratification to see all of the progress. I’m a sensory and fine motor kind of therapist when I do treat. I worked in mental health for many years, so I love the intervention OT’s can provide in emotional situations. My experience in the NICU makes me still gravitate to the babies for movement and feeding challenges.
Why did you open an outpatient clinic?
I chose to start an outpatient clinic because I saw a need for therapy services in the Tri-State area once children graduated from the First Steps program. CPT has grown in many ways since 2005 and I’m blessed with the best therapists.
Outside of CPT:
I am married to my husband, Keith, and together we have 2 grown sons, Cameron and Chase, a daughter-in-law, Devyn, and granddaughters, Marley and Josie. I enjoy spending time with my family, but being a grandparent is the sweetest thing ever. When I am not at CPT, my passions are cooking and traveling. I am definitely a beach person and vacation to Florida frequently! Keith and I enjoy our boat at Green Turtle Bay during the summer months. My mom and dad are my blessings and gave me the upbringing of God being number one in my daily life.
What I wish more people knew about CPT:
We are here to do a job that involves treating the coolest kids in the world. We love what we do, so none of us see it as work! CPT is just a really amazing place for kids and their families. It’s where children can succeed!
