Kate Carter
MS, CCC-SLP
Role:
Speech Therapist
Year I joined CPT:
2020
Favorite thing about CPT:
I love the constant support and collaboration between disciplines.
Favorite intervention area:
I enjoy articulation therapy because of the variety of different ways to implement interventions. It’s enjoyable to me to assess and find error patterns to correct them for clear and articulate speech.
Why speech therapy?
I enjoy the broad scope of practice and ability to establish working relationships with my patients and families.
Outside of CPT:
I am married to my husband of 5 years, Jon, and have two beautiful girls. We love cats! I enjoy all things crafting and love trialing new hobbies to keep myself busy. I live on iced white mochas, McAlister’s peach tea, and Mike and Ike’s.
What I wish more people knew about speech therapy:
It’s more than just fixing speech!
