Kylee Phillips

OTR/L

Role:

Occupational Therapist

Year I joined CPT:

2025

Favorite thing about CPT:

I am excited to begin my dream career as an OT and bond with not only the staff, but the kiddos and their families as well. I absolutely love being creative and silly, while making it functional and productive, and being able to do that as a part of my everyday career.

Favorite intervention area:

My favorite areas of practice are handwriting, scissor skills, and coloring. These areas are used not only in schools but in everyday life, especially as someone who likes crafts like me!

Why occupational therapy?

I discovered OT in February 2017 ,as a Junior in high school, during a field trip to Wabash Valley College that allowed different disciplines to explain their roles. The OT said a few sentences and I have been hooked ever since and the appreciation and curiosity of the field continues to grow!

Outside of CPT:

I grew up in Princeton, IN with my parents, a younger brother, and younger foster sister. In my spare time I enjoy reading, coloring, crafting, traveling, and relaxing with my basset hound!

What I wish more people knew about occupational therapy:

We go beyond the surface and can address mental health alongside physiological and social needs.
