Paige Miller

MS, OTR/L

Role:

Occupational Therapist

Year I joined CPT:

2024

Favorite thing about CPT:

I am excited to be working in pediatrics again. I love getting to know the kids and their families, and watching them achieve their goals.

Favorite intervention area:

I love sensory integration! I love exploring all the different sensory tools available to help best meet the needs of the children I work with.

Why occupational therapy?

I chose OT because I wanted to help people, and I initially thought I was going to achieve that by being a pediatric nurse. However, in high school I took a nursing class and quickly learned nursing was not for me. My mom has a friend who is a pediatric OT who let me shadow her one day, and I fell in love with pediatrics and OT.

Outside of CPT:

I have a miniature schnauzer named Finley, who in my opinion is the cutest dog in the world. I am super close to my mom, dad, and brother and I love to do things with them. I am also close to my other members of my family and see them just about every week. I love to read, go shopping with my mom or my friends, and I have a monthly book/movie club with two of my closest friends.

What I wish more people knew about occupational therapy:

How big our scope of practice is. As OTs we can address so many different aspects of people’s lives to help improve their functional abilities and their quality of life.
