Rachel Hooper

MS, OTR/L

Role:

Occupational Therapist

Year I joined CPT:

2011

Favorite thing about CPT:

I love building relationships with the kids I treat and their families. I love being a part of helping the kids meet goals which improve their daily lives.

Favorite intervention area:

I enjoy all areas including fine motor, visual motor, coordination, reflex integration, sensory integration, strength, and more! I enjoy feeding most of all. It’s a tricky combination of oral motor, sensory, and psychology. I am also really into nutrition. Being able to help a child build their food variety and nutritional intake is rewarding.

Why occupational therapy?

I love the diversity of an occupational therapist’s role in practice.

Outside of CPT:

My husband and I have been married for 10 years. We have three beautiful children ages 8, 5, and 2. I volunteer as the specific needs coordinator for our children’s church ministry at CFC. I enjoy nutrition, baking, shopping, working out, and reading. I also spend a lot of time running my kids to their activities. I love watching them participate in their interests.
